There's a toggle for it in Settings so that you can't post until it's added, if forgetting is the issue. If it's having the energy to add it, it doesn't need to be super in depth-even something like "a photo of a magpie sculpt, created by me" is enough!
Super understandable! This image goes around now and then and is really helpful at breaking it down and making it clear what's "good" alt text and how straightforward it ends up being, once you get used to it. I definitely used to overdescribe it
