I am not going to moralise to anyone else what the principles under which they vote should be but I will say that I simply do not agree with the general thesis that voting for a party always means a wholesale endorsement of /every single plank of their platform/

If I have pancakes instead of waffles, it doesn't always mean I love pancakes. Sometimes it means that's what's on the menu and I need breakfast.
