@climatenews.bsky.social I find it perplexing that to reduce my carbon footprint I can install solar in my home for net $8,600 out of pocket and save $20k over 20 years on electricity costs but buying a new hybrid or EV to accomplish the same thing would cost $40k-$50k. Perhaps I'm just naive.
Another beautiful late autumn day for a hike in CT. Today I enjoyed an 8 mile jaunt at Penwood State Forest. Some great views along the ridge, like this one facing Talcott Mountain and the Hublein Tower in the distance. Take a hike!
