Putting together the tabletop game library for #xoxofest and still have a little more room. Wonder what else to add? More kids games? A couple heavier games? Hmmmm. 🤔

I like Beyond Meat, but it's so salty and not great to eat often. Soooo, I'm gonna try Seitan. Drop your best SEASONED Seitan recipes here. Thank you!! ☺️

For those who game with long nails, what would you like to see in a keyboard that would make your gaming experience better? If there is a keyboard that currently meets your needs, please mention it and why you like it. Thanks! ☺️ My nails looked very demure and very cutesy, so I had to share. 😆

Me: Ooo I can blast all the baddies in one shot! After casting spell: Ohhhh...oops..... *loads last save* 🤣

This cute solo game called Quests over Coffee arrived today. :) Lately, I only have time to play games over a "tea break," so this is perfect!

Snagged a few solo RPGs (and one non-solo RPG) at Gen Con. ☺️

Let's help them out! :)
Putting it out there: if you are a Native American game designer, whether that's for video games or board games, I'd like to talk to you for an article for my publication, Tribal Business News. I'm aiming to discuss how Native perspectives in these industries are impacting the products in them.

A friend wanted to show us his recent purchase, Amalfi: Renaissance. Players take on the role of merchants who: discover charts, obtain paintings, books etc. to earn points and bonuses. My planning was poor but I think it will go better next time. :)

Ancient Knowledge is a card game where players build monuments and artefacts to pass on your knowledge. A friend taught this to us and we really liked the engine building. We all enjoyed it and then had the urge to play Gizmos (another engine building game). 😆

We played Landmarks at our recent game night. The person who provides the clues is trying to lead us away from traps, pick up some loot along the way and find the exit. The clue giving was reminiscent of Codenames but there are some fun additions. Good times!

I am preparing for a stream later this week and eating some Filipino chicken adobo dumplings. It's not bad for a Sunday afternoon. 😝 Stream with @425suzanne.bsky.social coming midweek! @chiptheorygames.bsky.social

I initially thought that Captain Flip was more of a "children's game" at first glance. We realized after playing that it can be enjoyed by anyone. Determining which side of the tile to use and where to place it to score the most points is a fun challenge. :)

Tiwanaku is a deduction game where you are trying to determine the types and size of terrain areas and what types of crops will be grown in each. We enjoyed it but were curious to see if a cultural consultant was used in the making of this game. @sitdowngames.bsky.social

The Cube: Area 51 is a game where you are placing tiles in a cube and scoring them based on the area and/or line. The rules were a struggle to get through but once we figured it out the game was quite enjoyable.

In Godsforge, we enjoyed the battling and defending our neighbour's attacks. The rules tried to incorporate theme when explaining which made it a bit confusing but we figured it out. A fun game but would like to see how it plays with updated content from their last Kickstarter.

I am really digging the vibe of Number Drop. 🥰

Nature is a game that allows players to build their ecosystem. It plays like Evolution but tries to make it more accessible. We tried the base game and added modules but had challenges with the rules. A detailed player aid would be welcome. The art is lovely!

Now this is the type of solo game that I like! It is just me against the baddies and I...did not rise to the challenge.😆 This just means I will take them all out next time! I had a great time playing and I can't wait to try more! @chiptheorygames.bsky.social

I had not heard of the game Weirdwood Manor but I was glad we played it. We were successful in saving Lady Weirdwood in MOST of our games but it was not easy. 🫣 Check out Ep. XLVIII of the podcast on Jul 3rd for more details!

In Tangram City, players place tiles based on an order of how the cards are drawn. Players must maintain balance. The more balance you have leads to more points. The game was challenging with random order of placing shapes but it was enjoyable!

*Post from yesterday... I do thoroughly enjoy Pies! I have the original Plums game in my collection but I also really love the theme of this one. It is a trick-taking game where players play fruit cards over three rounds and try to create combinations for scoring. A delightful game!

Doughtnuts and games! We played the new edition of Bruxelles. This is a worker placement game that has elements of bidding and area majority. I enjoy this one! We will play again with the Belle Époque expansion next game day. :)

I'm enjoying smaller box games that provide a challenge but in a short amount of time. In Faraway, card placement is important and having various symbols to work with your system. The scoring works in the opposite order than they are placed. Let's say my score was...😬😆

We had a great time playing Rear Window at a convention. It had a similar vibe to Mysterium where one person provides clues and the others try to guess who and where the incident occurs. Check out Ep. XLVII of the podcast if you want to know more! sites.libsyn.com/436716
