I quit counter dot social when I asked someone to tag a gruesome news article with something, anything, to protect the SA, DV, etc communities. He told me that a #news tag was sufficient, and I was a weirdo (derogatory) for even asking.

Counter Social always feel really weird to me. A bit too much "America! Yeah!". That, and the web design is even worse than Mastodon itself. Why are there news tickers everywhere?
