Coming to the realization that every grown up you've ever met is just winging it based on vibes (because no one actually knows what the fuck is going on).
More that someone somewhere would be the responsible adult in the room.
But with every day that passes i ask "what if i'm the responsible adult?" then i laugh, because if thats the case we're all screwed.
To be serious (I was jesting in ironic mode - I must curb that):
Are you going from one extreme to the other? Kids brought up with love & (but?) too great reverence for parents, may be shielded from existential uncertainty (& angst). But, shaken awake, doesn't mean we're all staggering ninnies. >2

Don't beat yourself up, you're doing fine. Ask if you need help. Help other too, to the extent you feel like & can.
But absolute (godlike) certainty in a contingent universe is overrated - it's a common feature of fanatics, cultists, playacting fraudsters & their agents.

I've heard of and seen a lot of death around in the last 4 years. It makes me ponder. But not despair. But then, I am comparatively very lucky.
Now that IS heavy. But not aimed at you, or anyone.
