In the failing light of the day, after much tearing and tearing of what little hair can be gripped, the scooter has gasped back to life and has run, unassisted. The first time I had the carb apart, I couldn't get the jets out. Today I tried again, with a new $3.75 screwdriver, and they let go.

Poking around with the scooter today has revealed that the fuel is very bad, not surprising after sitting for the length of time it has. There's no water in it and the tank is now empty. Filter is clear but will get replaced. The battery took a charge, commendably. Carb needs attention. Good spark.

Did some color blocking which I usually don't do. I usually pick a color and do everything from base, right through to final highlight before moving on to the next. Made a couple of smears to cover but, meh, that's easy.

Reeta the Beata is wrinkly skinned like an 🐘! I think I might actually be done with the skin already. I did the last four layers just as lines to simulate folds in the skin with only two different mixes of paint doing two layers per. The final one was some crosshatch at high spots. Warts are next.

Got a couple of layers in on Reeta's skin tone. It might be noticeable that I don't seem to work with high contrasts. 🤣 My style is my style 🤷. There is a long way to go yet with her skin tone. The next step though is increased contrast with highlights I think.
