I don’t really understand the game that much but it just seems like they all hate being there and hate each other and would be happy to just go home ??
I *do* understand the game and have supported England’s men’s team since I was like 11, and I don’t understand team selection or tactics for this team—including players out of position. I can’t say that you’re wrong. It’s been real weird.
Southgate is simply awful. Foden or Bellingham pick one. They want to do the same things and everybody knows it but Gareth. Palmer and Gordon should have started today, but oh well. They still have 1966.
Very excited for Southgate to take a victory lap and claim that his stubborn tactical decisions are what made the difference and delivered victory and for England to not change a single thing in the next match. Maybe he will even try Foden at left back he does like experimenting after all.
This england squad probably has a combined value of several hundred million more than the Slovakian team they’re facing, even with Skriniar and Lobotka
To really get the full experience, you have to pair it with the sunny, upbeat and cheery ITV commentary. They’ll be running the Samaritan’s number on the bottom of the screen for the 2nd half at this rate…
