(It shouldn't have taken until July for me to get it, but I haven't been up to walking to the store for it and they kindly contacted me on Wednesday) I still want to make a dress from the Frank Lloyd Wright fabric. It is way softer and more flowy than expected. 😍 worth the premium price imho.

The modern art one is probably going to become a t-shirt. It too is a very soft cotton. I'm truly impressed by how soft they all are. And while washing may change some of that, usually they don't become miserable with the machine sizing cleared out. The turtles are also super soft....

I'd been thinking about making a reversible bucket hat in the turtles on white and the animals holding hands on the medium green for a family toddler... but they're both so soft and I'd be worried about the white being a bit see-through that I may need to figure out a stiff interlayer or something.

Anyway, I am pleased as punch and tempted to acquire a few more darker & brighter pieces to attempt to make something bigger and more ambitious (or at least to try after a few more tests) because these are much nicer than anticipated and while they would make nice bags, I'd rather do more with them.

Also, because apparently I've spent enough at this shop now, they gave me a little pocket mirror from their fabric wholesale supplier. What a weird piece of swag Oh, I forgot. Not only is the Frank Lloyd Wright fabric soft and flowy, it's organic cotton, too, apparently. It's called March Balloons

Yeah, I can see where you might have the darker colour visible without a lining player of some sort. A flexible interfacing would probably work, give a bit of structure to the sides but not too much?

Yeah. That's what I'm thinking, too. I'm also thinking that, with my energy as it is right now, it's going to happen for next summer, not this one. 3 year olds still need hats!

Everybody needs hats! Especially hats with cool fabrics.

The green? Or the little leaves? Or do you mean the modern art one on black? I really like that one. It's so weird. It reminds me of a book of art through the ages my grandparents had.

Ha! Yeah, probably. They are all american fabric brands, though (or at least not canadian) so you may find more accessible sources.
