I'm going to be totally blunt & admit that I'm voting for Biden _because_ I want Kamala Harris to be the next President; this is the best damn shot we have of a woman U.S. President before I retire, given U.S. historical precedent of women mostly breaking barriers thru death of predecessors.
Seriously, though, 2016/20 made me despair that most American men will vote 4 even the most experienced, competent, brilliant women directly to executive office. Everyone outside MI says "Whitmer," perhaps unaware of the level of misogynist rants (& assassination attempts) she faces every day here.
There was a 2000s show where a conservative Dem ran with a more liberal VP (played by Geena Davis) and how he died and she had to step up and what that meant.
It lasted something around 4 episodes. *Sigh*
