now that is a well-plotted movie. the key clue is entirely obvious in retrospect and utterly unpredictable as the story unfolds.You guys! Double Indemnity (1944) is going to be on TCM soon. And one of the great Noir final scenes. It’s nothing that looks impressive out of context but it’s so powerful if you spend time with the characters Agreed. Great movie, with top-notch performances. Barbara Stanwyck absolutely nails it as the icy cool femme fatale. My 1L Contracts prof used this movie to teach us
