I’d be much more interested in these Famicom Detective games if they were doing anything even remotely visually interesting. But the aesthetic they chose just looks real safe and blah to me. I actually think the technical limitations of the NES led to a much more interesting look and palette.

If Emio Famicom Detective Club is going to have fully animated scenes, I'm just imagining the alternate timeline where the remake artstyle stuck to the 80s anime aesthetic like in the original artwork
