JD Vance is (like Rubio) a wholly owned subsidiary of some very rich person. (Thiel for Vance, some used car magnate for Rubio). They aren't policy thinkers and they certainly aren't leaders. They're the hired help with public facing prestige and snappy tailors.
The tl;dr This is union-busting, written as a statute. A company union is not a union, it is a way for management to dilute/interfere with the power of the union. Company unions have been unlawful since 1935, because everyone recognizes it is an attempt to union bust. This is trying to undo that.

I just rewatched THE SHINING and Shelley Duvall was so ridiculously good in it. She makes that movie, and I don't think anyone else would've worked half as well in that role. I think if that performance had come out today, she'd get an Oscar nomination for it.

Sam Green's doc 32 Sounds, streaming at criterionchannel.com, is one of the most thrilling cultural experiences you can have right now. But: You MUST experience it with headphones. Do NOT settle for speakers. It's sublime, uplifting, profound. [photo of Annea Lockwood by 123cbz123]

[if you've never had the pleasure] As not quite perfect movies go, Murder by Decree is awfully fine, and you won't be sorry to spend time with Christopher Plummer and James Mason as Holmes and Watson, also amazing work from Genevieve Bujold and Susan Clark, also John Gielgud (why not).
Goodbye to the great Donald Sutherland. ❤️

New HDSF entry! "hooman", i.e. a human (in contrast to an alien), from the 1940s onwards. (Non-SFnally found as a dialect pronunciation of _human_ from the early 19th century.) sfdictionary.com/view/2785/ho...
