This should be the story tomorrow, and every day: The leader of one of America’s two major political parties has just signaled to the Kremlin that if elected, he would not only refuse to defend Europe in World War III, but he would gladly support Vladimir Putin. www.theatlantic.com/ideas/archiv...

Is there any science behind memory foam, or is it a gimmick that flies in the face of the centuries of lying on flat surfaces people have been doing before getting up in the morning to do physical work?

Does anyone else find that their Bluesky stream is mostly replies, so you’re always seeing one or two remarks in the middle of a conversation? I don’t mind it, it’s just an interesting quirk.

I got fired from Argos after designing a brochure containing only clothes horses. It was a catalogue of airers.

BRB. Gonna go write a short one-room play. THE WAITING ROOM When two legendary actors die on the same day, they find themselves together in purgatory. There, they watch with growing horror as the world remembers them only for blockbuster bit parts. Wonder if I can get McKellen/Stewart to do it.

Note that this is Ukraine’s securiry service and not it’s independent anticorruption bodies (who have been doing great work lately). That is a bit concerning, since the former’s reputation when it comes to investigating economic crimes is dubious.

Did my first trip around IKEA yesterday. The restaurant at the start was the most normal part, and it had good food.

If all the invite codes get used, Bluesky should double in size every two weeks. By December that would see something like Thread’s 50m people joining a day. Of course, the cumulative total at that point would be something like one and a half billion and I just don’t think we have that many friends.
