This should be the story tomorrow, and every day:
The leader of one of America’s two major political parties has just signaled to the Kremlin that if elected, he would not only refuse to defend Europe in World War III, but he would gladly support Vladimir Putin.

Biden briefly confuses two nations he's actively engaging in global policy work with, it's a scandal.
Trump says multiple times that Nikki Haley was the Speaker of the House and the press laughs once and moves on entirely.
oh he is in charge right now? he has been going around congress to give weapons to israel, giving emergency aid of billions to them and having his administration run cover for them?
His recognising Jerusalem as the capital of Israel also arguably made things worse for Palestinians since 2017.
Like, Biden is just continuing to do what the US has always done (turn a blind eye to the genocide for the last 20 years and continue funding), but Trump actively made it worse.
The great tragedy is that this will be very unlikely to lose him a single vote in November. Trump is leading a cult of several tens of millions of Americans who trust him and believe every word he says
2/3 of the voters won't support him. If people understand it is Biden or Trump, and you can vote for who the hell you want to the next election, saying there will be one because if Trump wins we won't ever be voting again. He has made it clear it will be a dictatorship. Please please please read
I wouldn't. Because polls are unreliable. Most of them are based on folks being called on their landlines.
Most folks under 40 don't even have landlines anyway.
They mostly don’t. Weighted polls show Biden ahead by a few percentage points. Which, given 95% of republicans are reactionary authoritarians… is shockingly good this far out
The cult-like nature of the right has really broken polling in the last decade. It has yet to account for the irrationality
Can you clarify for me, but I was under the impression that mid terms not going as planned for the GOP means this election won't be as clear cut either?
Right, polling has yet to take into account the dynamics of the current system. It’s ill-equipped to.
The GOP crashing and burning is an example of how polling & favorability are heavily weighted to “the right wing is a sane & rational group as a whole”.
That hasn’t been the case for over a decade
'terrible' is a significant overstatement. And there's a lot of reason to think that they are highly unreliable on a number of levels. Not least of which is that it's February and literally a majority of voters won't notice that Trump's re-nominated until the GOP convention.
F-ing NYT has hidden this story below the scroll. Focusing their first two stories on Biden and ageism. For what? The third day in a row?
Then barely mentioning Trump and his support of Russia over our allies. In an “update” post with no lede at all.
I read john schindlers latest story on the war and it was so many veiled kremlin talking points... comparing supporters to blm supporters, saying Ukraine is as corrupt as russia, etc.
how did some conservatives lose their minds?
