The treatment of refugees will be the defining social issue of the 21st century. Ecofascist policies of border militarization already kill far too many people—hundreds die each year crossing the US-Mexico border, thousands crossing the Mediterranean. Fascists see them as vermin.

These are human beings, people who’ve lost everything, risking their lives to join our wealthy societies for the chance at some kind of life. We can certainly afford to welcome them in, but xenophobic rhetoric wins votes and dollars. The dehumanization of migrants must be fought.
