While back at the family homestead, I've been visiting the local cemeteries. I tell Mom I'm visiting dearly departed friends & relatives. TBH, it's a victory tour, having outlived so many assholes who were mean to me when I was a kid. Screw those guys.

It only took a few hours back on the farm to remind me why I work in high tech rather than agriculture. But I can cosplay a farmer on demand. 👨‍🌾🐄🚜

And we are back on the road! The bad tire was replaced this morning, and we should be home in about 3.5 hours, traffic willing.

The situation is resolving. The other tow service came quickly so we cancelled AAA. Wal-Mart's auto service opens at 7am and they've agreed to slip us in. We'll overnight at the Best Western next door, and hopefully be on the road again by 7:30am.

My mother had been driving without a license in an unregistered & uninsured car for years, but she was finally caught this spring. At her court date today, they dropped all charges except failure to provide a license, a mere $155 fine. Which means she'll learn nothing & do it all over again. 😡

The IAGSDC's & GCA's annual membership meetings have come & gone with me successfully not being nominated for elected into any board position. There will be celebrations tonight. 🎉

I have cancelled my Evernote subscription as the $130 renewal later this month is too expensive. They offered 40% off, but it's not enough. I'm now using Joplin (joplinapp.org), a comparable package which suits my usage.
