On Feinstein discourse: the age-ist line is "well you shouldn't be working if you're that old" and that's implied in a lot of DiFi-bashing. The fair line is that when you are that old you should recognize that your health can turn quickly and have an exit plan in place.
She was fine until sometime in 2020 it seems like. Then she wasn't. She should have resigned in the lame duck that year, or definitely after '22, to let the Senate start the term without her. That's where she shares the mistake of Ginsburg.
Not "too old!" but both elderly and struggling with age-related illnesses that by definition are not going to improve but thinking you can tough it out anyway.
