Two "customers" just left after spending an hour in the store, touching everything, taking numerous photos of books, & spending $2 (& putting it on a credit card, of course), but at least one of them got bit by karma. Apparently a pen exploded in her purse & now her hand's covered in ink.

Whereas I, a bookseller for an independent bookstore, am thinking of camping out at the store for the next three days because it has air conditioning. There is a difference. Where you shop matters. A LOT.

Happy #primeweek! I just want to let y’all know that the Amazon shipping warehouse where my husband works is denying workers fans during a nationally recognized heat emergency and everything you order during time week places workers’ lives at risk.
