it is getting pretty close! @matthieu.bsky.team has been cranking on it a long time. we have some "log in with handle" demos working. rolling out will be multiple stages, but that should get started in the next few weeks. client SDK design has been hard

pretty beautiful weekend in the north cascades!

it dumped snow early in the week, so there was better coverage than usual this time of year, plus long days. above freezing overnight, but was consolidated up top through 11am or so, pretty slushie below 7000ft or so this is all kulshan (mt baker), CD route

mountains very "alive" in this weather cycle, snow/ice/rock fall heard and observed all day. ice fall area has some small activity, but is going to have a huge shed right on boot path any day now (!) had noted this death trap crevasse above hogsback but I almost fucked up anyways on snowboard down

didn't make the summit (I bonked out part way up roman headway), but big beautiful day. thanks L for being a wonderful and patient/tolerant climbing partner 🥰

we recently added mechanisms in bsky/atproto to send feedback metrics to individual feed generators, including "more or less" of a post, as opposed to global "likes" (which are public and context-free). "exploding" UI idea gets at the issue that you might want more/less of an *aspect* of a post
Avatar
being able to view the "reason" for why a post ended up in a feed is something we'd love to do. could be a modal/pop-up and mechanism to "un-learn" in situ; or display more frequently "why" a post was shown in the feed (similar to existing "re-posted by" for Following feed)

I love these! keep them coming. here is Morro Bay, California, in March 2019. riding in to town felt like the first "real" SoCal vibe: warm breeze, slower pace, retirees. riding in town, a paraglider descended just over us and landed right on the side of the road

really incredible volcano day. february!

really hope the atmosphere (ecosystem of atproto apps) looks like this some day

a favorite part of the pre-print published today is how few of these lines are dashed. account migration and PDS federation are big, for sure, but much of the network is already open! nothing stopping somebody from running PDS+Relay+AppView today, w/ content from bsky PDS arxiv.org/abs/2402.03239
