I never explicitly stated the main character of the series is non binary but they used they/them pronouns and had different gender expressions depending on the situation.
I didn't realize I did this until the most recent comic but I created multiple older male gay couples because it was something I didn't see growing up in the 90s. Because, you know, reasons.
I am grateful for all the elders that we have.
The entire named cast is probably on the rainbow spectrum but I don't talk about any of it. I just want characters to exist without having to justify their existence. That and I'm old enough that I have anxiety about being accused of making every character "special."
