I've seen the UK's chattering classes refer to the "disproportionate success" of the Liberal Democrats, playing the first past the post game to get 71 seats out of 12.2% of the vote.
71/650 = 10.9% of seats from 12.2% of the vote.
Surely they mean "proportionate success"?
