You can still find wild peaches in some areas of Kansas from these trees! I tried some that were originally brought here by Exodusters and they tasted like freedom.

Cherokee/Choctaw tribal lands extend to the Oklahoma border with Arkansas.

Oh, right. This is right after statehood. Now, you wouldn't even know you were on tribal land unless someone told you. I grew up in the Choctaw Nation and the only thing that really tells you you're in tribal land is a couple of road signs and the casinos.
