When I went to Highgate Cemetery in London some plots/sections have signs up that say “please do not photograph, this is an active plot” and I’m sure it makes people mad as shit to read that.
We love a cemetery and visiting historical ones but if there’s signs up with rules and cordoned-off sections, I’m gonna obey! Yeah it’s an open public space but it’s also the resting place for a lot of people and somewhere sacred for families. I’m not gonna be a dick.
There are an abundance of cemeteries near me, and I run through them often, since they’re paved and quiet. I wonder who they were and if anyone still comes to visit.
