I don’t like this expectation that when a post goes viral, it has to be held to the same standards as a manifesto, and not just an off the cuff observation. we’re just people making little posts.

love that we brought the twitter culture of having to red team your posts to bsky

honestly I'm not sure that's something that can be escaped at a certain level of "enough people have seen your post" some of them are going to be pedantic weasels about it no matter the context

i do think the personal branding is a factor like i’m only ever on reddit to find product reviews/how to fix x problem/boss fight but it doesn’t seem to be a thing on there

reddit is an interesting case in that usually you are better able to compartmentalize your audience and avoid breaking containment but "this post hit r/all" is a dumpster fire the same way any escape velocity twitter/bsky post is
Avatar
Reddit is also less personal for the most part

Omg these are the exact and only 3 reasons I am ever on Reddit!

I stand by my “you can’t complain about your landlord or boss and that energy is going to go somewhere” stance

“one in a million events happen all the time at internet scale” That said, I recently thought about red teaming a post as I was typing it and then was like “screw that, just gonna block any who show up”

i wish people had left the "so you hate waffles" attitude when they left twitter

not me. my posts are airtight (stupid)

Ask not for whom the Context Collapses. It collapses for thee

posting is not praxis cuts both ways

"you should have phrased it differently" yeah probably, and I didn't, so what
