The excuse, "As soon as 34-felon gets back in office, he'll pardon them." Those who are outraged by Jan 6th are already voting for Biden. Those that participated are hoping they'll get a pardon & (if they can) voting for 34-felon. No court is going to save us. We have to vote!

He could have pardoned them immediately. Or anytime between the 6th & the 20th of January. He doesn't like giving up leverage over people.

There were few arrests immediately after the riot & I suspect he was more worried about the impeachment. He didn't want the Senate to have another reason to convict him. There were rare occasions when he listened to his lawyers.

Trump can't listen to lawyers because it would be a tacit admission that they know more than he does & he cannot abide by that. He hires lawyers to do as they're told. Nothing more.

He actually listened to his WH lawyers last time (not all the time, but when they told him he would get in more trouble by shooting protestors or prosecuting HRC). He won't have those lawyers if he gets back in the WH & the SCOTUS ruling means he won't get in trouble so he'll do what he wants.
