One of my biggest frustrations is how for so many people they don’t see any point in actions between “just letting fascism happen” and “bloody revolution (that they won’t do)” If you haven’t been working on tools and between the two you’ve already lost your fucking revolution because fash have.
Don’t get me wrong punching out a fascist can solve a LOT of problems (see: Richard Spencer) but pretending that it’s the only tool we have or should use is literally hamstringing ourselves. We gotta stop pretending this is a one-dimensional street fight and not a complex war for our survival.

Deplatforming them, getting them fired, interdicting their funding sources, lawfare, anything that restricts their freedom of movement, makes it harder for them to gather and recruit - up to and including violence **if necessary**. Violence is a blunt tool and it comes with its own risks.

And I’m tired of people jerking off to Spencer getting decked when they have clearly never been to an action in their lives. It’s ONE tool.

As someone who may or may not have been to many actions, what I'm really tired of is people celebrating acts of violence against fascists when the person who actually did the act is currently jammed up - on trial or doing time, and the celebrators are not helping or putting money on their books

Part of why Saul Alinsky did things like the sly dedication of his book to Lucifer was that he wanted it to be clear that when he advised "don't use violence when something else will work better for you" he didn't mean "respectability politics all the way."

That in the right situation, "occupy all the airport bathrooms" might in fact be just the tactic you need.

I'm absolutely all for getting these people fired from their jobs
