One false note in season two: Claudia, a black woman who lived through the worst of Jim Crow in Louisiana, absolutely would have said “it’s not a trial, it’s a lynching.” Instead the writers have her say “it’s not a trial, it’s a stoning.”

Anyway, I’m nearing the end of season two of “Interview with the Vampire.” It’s an extraordinary tragedy. WHEW.
