Coming up on the 10th anniversary of the killing of John Crawford III up the road from here in Beavercreek. He was killed because of a tendency by white ppl to exaggerate threat of black people 1st shown by social psychologists in '76, I tell my students. There is *no commitment* to making progress.
Duncan's paper perfectly explains Ronald Ritchie's overreaction to the non-threatening actions Crawford was doing in the Wal-Mart (with a toy gun! In a legal carry state!)
