Thing that stands out to me most about Berhalter is you look at interviews with world class managers after a loss and it’s “We tried a more aggressive attacking fullback up the side and got hit on a counter” and he’s all “flerpy herp, you should teach my non-answer to a class of business majors”

Thanks for bringing good sports commentary on here. It could be a watershed moment for USMNT. Advancing to the next round was contingent on everything going just right, and the SNAFU v Panama showed our fragility

Even just looking at him on the sideline, the caption could very easily just read "Welp! Whattyagonnado?"

He's too passive. He doesn't know how to coach with that element of ruthlessness needed to succeed at these things. We should've curbstomped Bolivia, beaten Panama (even a man down) and maybe a little better than a meek 0-1 against Uruguay.
