Equivalence.
So my new new iPad Pro arrived. The upgrade from the already impressive M1 chip is “knock your socks off” territory.
To give you some data here’s a chart.
Here’s the numbers if that’s your thing.
As you can see, the numbers are single core only for while, then whilst the core generally doesn’t get faster the introduction of multiple cores speeds things up.
Later the dedicated GPU is equally beefed up.
This all adds up, including things in the practical world like speed to save and read from storage.
However, both the tools used to record and the hardware being tested are changing.
None of this is an apples to apples comparison.
And that’s a problem.
