Who knew that when I started a YouTube channel to document animals like skunks and coyotes, it would be a plant from posh 1800s Americans gardens that would be the biggest issue?

I sent off a photo to the invasive species people. They eventually got back to me and confirmed my suspicions of what I was seeing.

This plant is a damned menace. So, I sent the ID over to 311 at Toronto City Hall as they’re on the hook to remove it. I have zero faith in city hall from my previous experiences. But at least I have a written trail that I’ve told them it’s there.

This is what it looked like 2 weeks ago. Now it’s over waist high. Grows like an inch a day. By mid-summer it’s going to be a 6.5ft tall mess that crowds out everyone, from human to deer, skunk, and coyote.

It’s ironic, but oddly fitting. My channel was looking for the animals, but was called just “Toronto Trail Cam”. The trail cam picked up the plant. Ha ha!
