Eleven chapters into Yellowface by R.F. Kuang and holy fuck. Do you like it? I have mixed feelings about her other books but am curious about this one. It's brutal in fifteen well-deserved directions, and the immediacy of the writing is intense. Question: did you ever watch Insatiable? The kind of yelling I am doing is similar to the yelling I did at the characters in that. No I never watched that. Well, would you recommend the book? I would, because it is exquisite, but with the caveat that I also yelled constantly.
