It's maybe a little fucked up to say this, but the way I just absolutely VANISHED in certain spaces when I started being seen as a mid-looking dude instead of a passably attractive geek girl was super fucking weird, but also deeply informative re: gender bullshit/patriarchy.

In my "curled up in a dark room listening to paranormal podcasts with my dog by 9 PM on the 4th of July" era.

He has mostly moved back onto his chair, but my leg is his.
