Apparently it's Frog Day! I spotted a Wood Frog in (and you're not going to believe this) the woods. lol
But seriously I almost never see them except when they're mating in the spring. So I was thrilled when this one hopped across the path in front of me today. #herps 🌿
Iceland now has mystery frogs that survive the Icelandic winter. Icelandic winter is no joke, when it comes to snow, cold weather and generally being difficult. They might have been in Iceland since 2017. How they got to Iceland is not known, how they survive is even less understood.
