Look at this gorgeousness I saw today! There were at least 6 pairs of damselflies mating together at my local creek. I adore this shade of blue and it was so cool to see that many together! It's #DamselflyJuly!! #invertebrates 🌿

Why stick with a bald eagle when you can go with a patriotic marbled shrimp? Check out the stars and stripes on that tail! These shrimp have a wild variety of color and patterns, this one was pretty unique. Off Ulua beach a few years ago. (Saron marmoratus) 📷🌿🐙

Just wanted to give a shoutout to all the bird and nature photographers I follow. Not only are your photos fantastic but it’s so nice to have a space where if I’m feeling a bit glum, I can just open an app and BAM! There’s a picture of a good little guy! You rule, keep on doing what you do! #birds

OMG another Wood Thrush baby!!! This is even younger than the one I saw a couple weeks ago! It looks like a tennis ball going through the air, almost no tail at all. How can it even fly?! #birds 🌿

This feed is delightful if you need a little peace and beauty in your timeline.

I am very proud of it! (It isn't that new, but it always makes me happy when people discover it.)

Here's what the sky was doing while it was painting the world purple

After an afternoon of thunderstorms the sky turned some wild colors this evening. The whole world was tinted this plum color for a short time, though it was very hard to capture.

Here's what the sky was doing while it was painting the world purple

After an afternoon of thunderstorms the sky turned some wild colors this evening. The whole world was tinted this plum color for a short time, though it was very hard to capture.

A love letter to The Wetlands Institute in New Jersey and the vast variety of wildlife that lives there. I saw birds, turtles, and horseshoe crabs on this trip. With a mostly soothing nature soundtrack. The Willets are a bit insistently noisy but I love them. #birds #herps 🌿 🧪
