Mike Pence is still the funniest character in all of this. They were literally chanting “hang Mike Pence” and he tries to play it off as a distraction from the real issue of whether the Yale cafeteria is too woke or some shit
We already have a "good faith Conservative party in the USA"- they're called Democrats.
We do NOT need a fascist party, in the form of Republicans, strong or otherwise.
I don’t except the conservative label for the Democratic Party not after the work and victories Joe had this year working for labor.
Joe is not conservative on Labor.
This is the one area in which I will agree. His labor appointees have been excellent. But, I truly do not believe it is enough to be good at A, while being lukewarm to awful at B through Z
For what little it’s worth
I think Joe Biden is the best US President in 50 years and top 5 best presidents in all of US history.
I am proud Joe supported Ukraine at one of the darkest moments in history.
Joe saved the whole world from Putin running the map.
Joe defeated Trump.
The last 50 years have been a non-stop horror show for presidencies, so that is a low bar to clear, even if I agree.
But this is the American electorate, people with no long-term memory & a "what have you done for me lately?" attitude. People remember GW Bush fondly now! That doesn't bode well
No the Democratic Party is now a really big tent that needs to mobilize a huge coalition of very different people to prevent the end of the republic.
But the Democratic Party is supposed to serve center left and the Republican Party should serve center right.
Progressives should be left of D.
"Should", "needs to", and "supposed" all giveaway the point I am making; the ARE NOT those things NOW.
My point was not about theory, it was about practice. Biden was by far one of the most conservative Dems running in 2020, and that has resulted in disaster for the coalition he is failing to hold.
Failing implies current & future timing. Biden is currently cratering in support from under 45's due to his insane genocidal support for Israel, and the effects of inflation without significant student loan relief.
Will it cost him 2024? I think so, but I could be wrong. His polling is bad now tho
