Had our last Poleaxe class for this cycle and at the end did some slow sparring using plastic visors over our masks to simulate the vision restrictions you would have when armored. #HEMA
I had Siri make a reminder for us to clean the humidifier we have in the bedroom today at 5 because we keep forgetting. I have no idea what Siri heard but when the reminder popped up today it looked like a suicide note
Back home and mostly alive post tournament. Went well. Ended up 13th out of like 25 or so, so about middle of the pack which is better than I had expected for my first tournament. #HEMA
First #HEMA tournament tomorrow up in Raleigh aka “Raleigh Open”. A good chunk of my club mates will be there so at least I will have some people to cheer me on (also to encourage them I made a batch of cookies for mid tournament refueling) 😁
Competing in Raleigh Open this weekend for my first #HEMA tournament. Got a bit of home practice this weekend and hopefully will get some sparring in on Wednesday but otherwise I guess I am as ready as I will ever be.
The X-Files is so relevant now, every week Mulder and Scully witness strange, inexplicable events and proof of higher powers and alien intelligences and then nothing happens as a result and they have to keep doing paperwork
Today is day two of Queen’s Gambit. We have our longsword tournaments today and then after our big dinner. Yesterday went pretty smoothly so fingers crossed for a good day today. #HEMA
