On Kazaa and limewire and Napster and such, songs were mislabeled *constantly*. Like, more often than not it was mislabeled. Either band wrong, song wrong, or both. Ska songs, e.g., were usually labeled as RBF or the Bosstones even if they didn’t do the song.
OK, so I was a freshman in college when Napster was blowing up the winter of 1999-2000, then my school cracked down on its use, so I got out of the game. As such, I don’t recall all the mislabeled songs that were flying along.
Ok. Well, word of advice: no one is asking to be corrected on these things, ever, even if I had been serious. I know you’re in your 40s now but you gotta learn this sometime. Don’t come into conversations just to point out errors. No one fucking cares.
