I walked outside and smelled lighter fluid from a charcoal grill and it smelled weirdly wonderful. It’s one of the things I miss about my house inNC and part of why I’d like to move back.

I enjoyed an underrated 1999 gem from Doug Liman, was charmed by an Agnes Varda short, freaked out over a French spider attack, & wondered how someone could screw up a "sharks in a lake" premise so badly.

1994: Pulp Fiction. Also the year of a favorite Christmas Movies: Trapped In Paradise
2004: Garden State just beats Spider-Man 2 & Napoleon Dynamite
2014: Love & Mercy. Brian Wilson is a musical genius.
2024: Haven’t seen anything & couldn’t find anything I care to see. But 1984 was a fantastic.
1994: The Legend of Drunken Master edges out Three Colors: Red & Chungking Express.
2004: Kung Fu Hustle, easily. Spider-Man 2, Shaun of the Dead, & Collateral were sharp.
2014: Whiplash slides ahead of A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night.
2024: Haven't seen much. Destroy All Neighbors by default.
