Katarina Claes is actually big brain. She just has hyperfixations, an-ever-looming fear of fated DOOM, and friends who just are not straight with her (in several senses of the word), spoil her, and frankly could stand to be better friends.
Except you, Maria. You're good. Please marry her already.
I've read everything but the most recent light novel. I'm interested in her ongoing story, but I've actually lost interest in the "so many love interests" angle, and am overly invested in her and Maria.
Oh, she's a fantastic character.
For me, its that she has this natural fixation on avoiding the doom, but has such an instinctive impulse to be a good, kind person that it ends up sabotaging her efforts at scheming her way out of doom...
...but also saves her from that doom in the first place.
Its also just hard to forget about the scene in Season 1 where all her suitors tear apart the accusations against her by going "this kind girl is clearly not devious enough to pull off this kind of evil scheme!", if only because its absolutely hilarious :D.
