Yeah, I think this is just an excuse for abject cowardice. "It wasn't OUR fault! We had a training failure!" is some transparent-ass bullshit. Cops are just bullies, and all bullies are cowards.
You're probably better off if the fire department responds to a school shooting than cops. At least you have people committed to going into dangerous situations to rescue people instead of people committed to padding their overtime and hurting people they view as their inferiors.
Basically the first thing that happens when fledgling officers graduate from the academy is they go in the field with a veteran officer who tells them to forget all that nonsense, as he teaches them the "real" stuff.
Don't forget the murder of George Floyd was a senior officer(s) training two fresh officers how to do it, then lie on all the paperwork after the fact.
Besides the sad rage this story of course makes me feel, I can’t help wishing for a violent death for every gun lobbyist who helped put more megaweapons on American streets for our children to be murdered with.
Shared this with my first grade teacher daughter. She said, this is the only thing we can do to stay safe! And they don’t know that?!?! OMG idk how the Uvalde families can take it. I’m sickened
