The backlash from base voters who very explicitly demanded a Black woman as VP (and on the Court) as our “seat at the table” in exchange for our electoral organizing…whew, you are not prepared. But almost all of the white alternatives are, and it’s why they keep saying no.

by choosing anyone other than harris to replace biden should he decide to step aside, the party would be revealing they very cynically chose her as veep for optics without believing she could actually be president.

Not visible to the public is the fact that this administration has alienated some of the strongest organizers I know. And here I mean those who focus on electoral organizing.

My MIL ranted to me about my SIL pressing for an ADHD evaluation for BIL and SIL's oldest child, outraged that SIL had gotten my niece's teachers to fill out forms and taken them to the pediatrician. Both my husband and my oldest kid have ADHD diagnoses, mostly because I pressed for evaluations.

They tried this four years ago with varying results. The far better use of the money is by buying existing local TV stations and newspapers and staffing them properly

if there is one thing I want to come out of this election, regardless of result, it is Dems - and the left more generally - finally understanding that they need to make their own media ecosystem and stop relying on folks who want them to lose to get their message out

I have seen multiple people say they do not like single source stories (by which they mean, instances where later stories are copied from another story), and this sticks in my craw for sexual assault stories, because this requires that victims of sexual assault speak to multiple reporters.

Listen, if the Biden campaign wanted to quell concerns about his age, they would have put him out there, like in the post-debate pressroom, a rally, an event at the Stonewall monument, a national address, a medal of honor ceremony, a meeting with governors, another rally, and televised interview.

I have no idea the best path re Biden but I do know a solid week straight of “Biden Old” and “Rich Dems Worried” above-the-fold stories are *obscene* in the face of SCOTUS using the Constitution to wipe their asses purely in the service of reinstating a felon rapist as president. We're visiting family out of state this week, and every single day there has been a 50+-year-old white man whose selfish, entitled, childish behavior has boggled my mind. The guy who snatched the TV remote in a hotel sitting area where kids were watching a kids' show to switch it to a ball game.
