OMG this Pacific harbor seal mom is hiding its newborn with its umbilical cord still in place. My heart 🥰

As far as I can find out, seems like the pup was just born, based on the shape and the color of the umbilical cord. At most a couple of days old. Also visible from the mom's swollen genitalia. First time I see one that young. It's so tiny!
