In their confirmation hearings, the Republican majority swore under oath that the President was not above the law. This week, they insisted that the President is not just above the law, but is entitled to absolute immunity for his actions. Happy 4th! donmoynihan.substack.com/p/strongman-...
New, from me: the last week of decisions by the Roberts court present us with a dispiriting vision of American governance: strongman, weak state. donmoynihan.substack.com/p/strongman-...

They also said Roe was settled law. They commit perjury?

No it was settled. But I don’t believe any Democrat had the foresight to ask if the nominee was going to unsettling it.

No man is above the law. But Donald J Trump is no mere man. He is a titan - an elemental force - nay, a living god! 🧐

They say it again in their opinion, but they're gaslighting. Not only do they immediately contradict themselves, they do it via a false construction: Congress didn't pass laws targeting the President. They passed laws targeting CRIME.

The Supreme Court and the Heritage foundation just having a normal.

Just as they lied about Roe v. Wade. Flat out lied.

That was before a Republican rapist, fraudster, convicted felon who cheated in an election (campaign-finance felonies in 2016) managed to become President (with illegal help from Russia). Republican Supreme Court Justices are now, let's give this guy Presidential immunity.
