Tired of people claiming they're not "pro-Hamas, just anti-genocide" while chanting Hamas's slogans and asserting that a war against terrorists is genocide. Plenty to be concerned about regarding proportionality and the laws of war, but hard pass on this kind of sophistry.

it's a simple fact that israel has targeted civilians, impeded aid, etc. But you don't see media types imputing that conduct onto pro-israel types, or openly pontificating about their moral compass the way they do about pro-palestinian voices

The UNRWA just had to shut down their East Jerusalem HQ because settlers keep setting the property on fire. This will receive exactly zero commentary on the inherent lack of moral compass or brutality of Israelis in the manner that a questionable chant by pro-Palestinian protesters would.

These commentators can't square that a 2,000-lb bomb dropped on a hospital is no cleaner than that barbarity of October 7. Violence isn't impacted by proximity.

I can’t think about it too hard, otherwise my brain would explode. I mean just about every other country is on the record as accusing Israel of war crimes-are they all pro-Hamas?

It’s “we’re the Good Guys” ideology. The Good Guys don’t have to actually do anything good, it’s just inherent. Any group that isn’t explicitly for us is Bad Guys.
