I question the choice to remind people of its existence.

Not acknowledging its existence won't make it not exist. People who look for "dirt" on furries are very aware of this comic. And I think it's important for younger furs to know what can happen to our fandom when you let haters take the reigns of your narrative, as was the case in those days.

It also does a lot to quash the narrative of the folks who like to pretend they liked the fandom “back when it was more wholesome.” No they didn’t!
