In a functional democracy Congress would recall itself from vacation and start time process to act against the Supreme Court and protect democracy

And even if they’re not particular fans of democracy, they should be acting in defense of their own power! They just got usurped!

YOU WOULD THINK I have my suspicions that it’s partisanship that’s the root problem here, because GOP Congressfolk see themselves as allied with rightwing members of the other two branches and so DGAF about checking any of them

Right?? I miss the days when Congress critters were firm in the notion that the “enemy” was not the other party, but the other house of Congress (and sometimes the courts). If these assholes must insist on doing government like league sports, they gotta learn to ID the other teams.

And their own constitutional power.
