If you’ve ever wonder why the far right has attacked and corporate media dismantled all of their counter misinformation and counter propaganda efforts they had attempted since 2016 you should be starting to get the picture now.

The “it is inevitable” discourse is designed to disempower actual pushback and demoralize voters to turn away or give up on democratic processes and voting. As much as it may seem like things have fully collapsed. Winning the election keeps options on the table that give us actual power to stop this

As much as it sucks right now watching British elections has me hopeful we can get it together before the election and at least not elect Trump.

Yup. Lots of people pointing out obviously this would be weaponized against LGBTQ folks. But also it just fundamentally bristles with a hostility towards privacy and freedom that runs through the entire project.

And, their definition of "porn" includes acknowledging the existence of trans people.

Rupar and others are turning the far rights hypersitional claims of inevitability into a dangerous reality on Twitter. it’s really hard to watch the liberals do this specific thing because of its danger to all of us as well as our ability to fight against the fascism we face in a timely manner.

This is very good.

That part isn't the disinfo part. It's the chaos and rumormongering that is going to be used to get Mike fucking Johnson etc. into power once they push Kamala Harris out of the line of succession. It's also being used to distract everyone from mounting a coordinated response to the Supreme Court

Notice how everyone is somehow talking about Biden Too Old right now, and NOT about how the Supreme Court just legalized Trump being a dictator for life and gutted the administrative state, and how the Heritage Foundation is now issuing terrorist threats? Think that might not be an accident?

Because the media is helping the right own the narrative and control the media environment it’s intentionally being done to flood the zone in an effort to overwhelm the massive amount of bad news about Trump and his crimes as well as undermine Biden’s ability to govern.

The post-debate “Biden replacement theory” has all the vibes of a top-down bottom-up participatory disinformation campaign/conspiracism bubble reality

this whole thing is becoming a non-event, a giant simulacrum that everyone is rapid dumping their anxieties into, and what is genuinely hilarious is that this is sufficient to bootstrap a real crisis. I love modern news/social media and the machinations of its management wrt electoral democracy lol.

I have never seen the media or the press corps so rabid and partisan in my life. If you watch today’s press corps it was wild they were openly making fun of the president. It’s not normal or organic.

It really is making *me* feel crazy to see a bunch of other Democrat voters running around screaming about how Biden is now unelectable, on the basis of one bad debate and an incredibly obvious ratfucking campaign by America’s most craven newspaper.

It feels like the bare minimum thing we could do to save our own futures here is “not do the New York Times and the GOPs work for it by helping publicly speak the outcome they want into existence.”

I am absolutely scared shitless by this moment and I’ve been scared shitless of this moment coming for over a decade, but I’ve also concluded that the LAST thing we can collectively afford to do is projecting indecisive shrieking cowardice to everyone less politically plugged-in than we are.

IDK kind of feels like we should be paying more attention to a prominent conservative think tank saying we're in the midst of a second american revolution that will remain bloodless as long as long as the left lets it be, then whether or not Biden should step down.

Here it comes. The next part of the ongoing and accelerating coup. if the democrats try to replace Biden the republicans will not allow that person to appear on the ballots. We are in a coup this is not politics.

I really wish people listened to those of us who have spent years studying and writing about the far right and the coup they have been planning for decades. Because now they are just straight up telling you their plans because they are so emboldened by the fascist captured courts.
