Okay, it took a bit but I finally found the right code to remap my QWERTY keys to Colemak in Obsidian’s VIM mode. I’m building out my dream Colemak key editing modal line by line now. Tedious, but whose fault was it I don’t use QWERTY?

In case you're wondering how hard Long Covid is on people, I searched for a Long Covid treatment center for a friend in Columbus and I got Google giving me a suicide helpline number.
Had some great friends staying over the weekend, so I didn’t camp out at the Columbus Book Fest for as long as I wanted, but I did spend a good chunk of Saturday on a panel and signing with Yume Kitasei and @scalzi.com which was a total blast!
I hired someone to go through my entire bibliography page on my site and create a database card with the details of each one, a link to the amazon sale page if there, or website, and the cover image.
Which allows me to pull information like this out of it with a quick SQL statement:

I have a friend who points out if you read C3PO’s dialogue without Tony Daniel’s genial, exasperated butler performance you get a venal, bitter, ugly character.
I read that C3P0 and R2D2 were based off the two ruffians in Hidden Fortress, and it all fits together with what you said for me

There's a show on Netflix Emily stumbled across called "Behind Your Touch" which is a Korean series about a veterinarian who wakes up with the ability to touch an animal's butt and see its past.
And eventually teams up with a detective touching people's butts to solve crime in between being a vet.
There’s this beautiful effect at sunset where the ochre hues show on the tree tops and barn of my backyard. It makes for a striking evening on the deck.

You have to zoom in a bit bc I was late to the shot, but my daughter texted us from her room “am I crazy or is there a deer walking around our yard?”
We watched it walk down the side of our house and out the front yard, then crossed the yard and wandered off across the soccer field across the road.
I'm also a big sucker for found family. Found family in the remains of Tokyo after the firebombing being threatened by Godzilla? It was a ride.
Damn, just good storytelling all around.
Also, this guy's hair? Deserves a billing all of its own for its acting.
